I'm brand new to the deviant art network and am learning my way around. I haven't actually done any recent artwork in the last couple of years but I am working on a couple new pieces. If I can find time to do them I should have them finished in the next couple of weeks.
I'm a little afraid they won't turn out so good since it has been so long since I've practiced. It would help if I actually had some formal training in art but the teachers I had in highschool were not truly qualified to be art teachers. I went to a small Christian school and they didn't always find accreditted teachers to teach their electives. The teacher's I had didn't have any training in art either and were terrible teachers. I learned more from practing stuff on my own time than I did in their classes.
I hope to be able to get into some good art classes this fall when I start college again but until then I'm just going to brush up on my skills at home.
